Customer Relationship Management

So what is CRM? Why would someone like you want another three letter acronym in your business? Lets not forget the most important question, how is it going to save me money and make me money?

Well all can now be revealed!

A few years ago there was a spate of buzz words floating around. ERP, WMS, CMS and the favourite at the time, CRM. CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. Something all of us as businesses know we do actually need to do, but somehow find that managing our relationship with our customers is ad hoc at best and for some businesses, nonexistent. Wind the clock forward a few years to today and we find that there are a number of solutions available on the market, the favourite being a notepad and pen (but not the most effective by a long shot!)

Having looked at quite a few systems over the years, trying to find something that really works, actually helps us to manage our relationship with our customers, clients and contacts, Techize decided that there wasn’t actually anything that did what was really needed today. We don’t just want to keep track of customers and clients but want to actually see what has been happening with them, what was promised, what was agreed, up coming projects, special dates, deadlines, scheduled phone calls, conference calls, meetings, invoices, payments, quotations. In fact we wanted to be able to see everything that has ever happened with an individual contact right from the very first time their details were acquired (and how we got them) through to every item purchased, every service used, every invoice sent, payment received, phone calls, emails… The list goes on and on!

So what did we do? Well we embarked on the not so small task of actually producing something that will allow us to do exactly what we need. And the Trimbu CRM project was born. Why Trimbu? Just sounded like a cool name, no meaning behind it, just something that was catchy, easy to remember (we think so) and available as a domain name.

Trimbu is currently in testing stages and is expected to enter public beta testing stage soon. At that point it will be open to anyone that has registered and expressed an interest to try out our CRM system, at no cost. Once we finalise Trimbu we will roll out a paid for service, but we anticipate there always being a free service so the small businesses and sole proprietors out there can have a customer relationship management system that actually works without costing them a fortune.

If this sound like something you would like to be involved with, head on over to the trimbu web site and register your interest.

Thanks
